Note that we strongly discourage one tutor teaching multiple subjects (e.g., Math and English) to a grade 11 or 12 student; we prefer specialists for each discipline.
While we do not use personality quizzes, our personalized matching process considers learning styles. If a student prefers a rigorous approach or a supportive, gentle style, we select the tutor accordingly.
Yes. For AP World Languages (Spanish, French, Chinese, etc.), we prioritize tutors who are native speakers or possess near-native fluency to ensure students master cultural nuances and conversation skills.

Scheduling, Attendance & Cancellations

You may cancel or reschedule a session without penalty by providing at least 24 hours' written notice to the tutor. If notice is given less than 24 hours in advance, the tutor has the discretion to charge for the missed session.
To avoid charges, send a written notice (email or portal message) directly to your tutor at least 24 hours before the session. This ensures a verifiable record of the request.
Our tutors work autonomously and can accommodate evenings and weekends to fit students' busy schedules.
Yes, we can accommodate short-term requests. However, please be aware that our First Session Satisfaction Guarantee does not apply to urgent support (e.g., within one month of final exams) or mock test periods.

Technology, Progress & Safety

We use Zoom for high-definition video conferencing. For Math and Science sessions, we require students to use a graphing tablet (or a touchscreen device with a stylus) to ensure they can write equations in real-time.
Tutors are required to submit a session report within 48 hours of every lesson. These reports detail the session's content and the student's progress.
Parents are copied on the session reports submitted by tutors. If a report is delayed, we encourage clients to contact the tutor directly.
For students under the age of majority, we recommend that a guardian be present or readily available during the session to ensure safety and well-being.

Pricing, Payments & Guarantees

We operate on a "pay-as-you-go" model with monthly invoicing. You are not locked into long-term contracts. Invoices are issued monthly, and you have a 7-day grace period to pay via credit card or e-transfer.
Canada: $85 CAD/hr (Standard) | Packages available. USA: $70 USD/hr (Standard) | Packages available. (Note: Rates differ for standardized tests).
We offer packages for new clients (e.g., 50 or 100 hours) which offer a reduced hourly rate. Otherwise, our standard model is pay-as-you-go.
We do not offer unpaid trials. However, we offer a First Session Satisfaction Guarantee: if you are not satisfied with the first session of a long-term engagement, you may request to have the fee waived. Exclusions apply for urgent/short-term help.
We maintain high satisfaction through our rigorous selection of "Career Tutors" and our satisfaction guarantee. You can read verified reviews on TrustIndex and Google.
We do not offer artificial "score guarantees." Academic success relies on the student's independent work and preparation. We provide the framework and expert support, but the student must engage actively.
